CAMEROON "Ngonso" - Kumbo Grade A, Espresso Roast
CAMEROON "Ngonso" - Kumbo Grade A, Espresso Roast
This Grade A coffee is a Java/Bourbon varietal that’s been washed and sun-dried. Its beans are grown between 1,700 and 2,200 meters above sea level. They’ve been roasted to a delightful espresso roast which displays a terrific melon aroma, a bit of apricot spice and sherry sweetness.
"Ngonso" is the legendary first queen of the Nso people who inhabit the Western Highlands in the Northwest Region of Cameroon and is where our growing cooperation is located. Their traditional language is Lamnso and their capital is Kumbo. This region of Cameroon is one of the highest producing areas of coffee there with over one 300 tons produced annually. We are working with local partners to educate and train the Mbiim cooperative's women farmers in agroecology techniques to help improve the yield and sustainability of their organic crops.
